Fall 2013 Sneak Peek

OMG, its been forever since I put any effort into blogging. If I am being honest with myself, I don't love blogging. I am not very good at it!! Give me a pair of scissors, and I know what to do, but put me in front of a computer to write, and its an epic fail...

However, I have been hard at work designing and creating the Fall/Halloween 2013 collection. It will be available for sale when I get back from summer vacation, on August 14th. It wont be a huge Halloween Collection this year, but the pieces I do include, will be my most favourite! Lots of times, I create a bunch of pieces and then narrow it down to the ones I love the most. Lots of pieces don't make the "cut"!!

My kids are obsessed with Halloween, and I love that. Its my most favourite time of year! Here are some snap shots from the recent Halloween photo shoot, which includes the new "Kitty Witch" Headband, available in newborn to adult sizes!

For other Halloween pieces, expect cameos, bows, flowers, and glow in the dark pieces!!

April Headlines

Oops I missed March... I came down with a bad case of bronchitis and truthfully, I was just trying to stay awake. Up all night with my kids coughing and myself, does not make for a very fun or productive month!!

With that said, we are on the mend and looking forward to spring here in our part of Canada!! We still have snow on the ground, and typically can still see a good dump of snow until May. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we are done for the year!!

Here are April's Headlines and what you can expect to see from Giddy Up & Grow in the upcoming month!

APRIL SHOWERS

When I think of Spring, I think of bright colors and Daffodils! Giddy Up & Grow has the perfect spring accessory to match those Spring dresses! This is the Daffodil Headband and is available in the shop!

EASTER ~ DRESSING IN YOUR SUNDAY BEST

My kids can't seem to keep their clothes clean and winkle free for more than a hot minute, so finding something dressy to put them in for Easter is just cray cray!! However, I can always manage to find something creative, uber cute and affordable over at Little Wellies. My daughter loves the Disney inspired outfits, and I love to support other hand made shops! Spring into Summer

I have had some major inspiration over the past several weeks. Lots of new items have been created and listed in the shop!

Living in the part of Canada that we do, we have winter for about 8 months out of the year. Thinking about summer is always on my mind... This summer's accessories have many inspirations including Aztec prints, gypsy bohemian princess, lemonade stands, summer treats like ice cream cones and Popsicles, nautical elements and the beach!

 

Here are a few of my favourite Summer accessories from the shop!

WHO IS YOUR VALENTINE'S DAY DATE?

 

Some people feel that Valentine's Day is just for kids... That you don't need one day to express your love to your loved ones. I agree on that. We shouldn't just use Valentine's Day as an excuse to say the words "I love you", or to do something nice for someone we love. These gestures should be done throughout the year. However, I do think Valentine's Day is the perfect day to go over the top! Why not write your partner an extra special love letter, buy a giant bouquet of flowers, or spend some special time with friends??? There are all different types of love in the world, why not shout it to the world!!

Out of this world ~ Photo Contest

I want to try and do something fun for the month of February, so I came up with a Photo Contest! This is an opportunity for Giddy Up & Grow customers to submit a photo(s) of their little one(s) wearing a Giddy Up & Grow design. Each different photo submitted will count as 1 entry into the contest. For example if you submit 1 photo, you get 1 entry into the contest. If you submit 5 different photos, you will receive 5 entries. The more photos you submit, the more entries you will receive and a greater chance you have at winning!

Photo Contest Details

Date: You can start to submit your photos by email on February 1st until February 13th at 12:00pm (MST). Any photos submitted before February 1st or after February 13th will not count in the contest. Submissions can be either professionally done or photographed yourself, but you must be the owner of the photograph.

How: Submit your jpeg photos by email to giddyupandgrow@gmail.com, only jpeg images will be entered. Photos containing full or partial nudity will not be submitted into the contest.

Once you have emailed your photos, a reply email will be sent. Each of your photos submitted will be given a number. These numbers are like raffle tickets, don't lose your numbers.

Winner: Two winners will be chosen randomly using www.random.org on Feb. 14th. The winners will then be contacted via email and will have 48 hours to respond to claim their prize.  If no response from the winner(s) is received within 48 hours, a new winner(s) will be randomly selected and notified.  Winners will be announced on www.facebook.com/Giddyupandgrow and www.giddyupandgrow.blogspot.ca.

Prizes: The first winner will receive a $75 online shop credit to www.giddyupandgrow.etsy.com, the second winner (runner up) will receive a $35 online shop credit to www.giddyupandgrow.etsy.com. The winners will have 1 month to use up all of their shop credit before it expires. Shop credit starts on February 15th and will expire on March 15th. The winner(s) do NOT have to use their shop credit all at one time, and they may use the shop credit to pay shipping and handling charges. If your purchase is greater than the shop credit amount, a Paypal invoice will sent to pay for the remaining balance. Nothing will be shipped until any remaining balance is paid. Giddy Up & Grow 2013 Look Book
